Brülisau - Plattenbödeli - Ruhesitz - Brülisau

After the Pfannenstiel, the hiking trail climbs steeply in the picturesque Brüeltobel. After the steep ascent through the Hexenwäldli, you reach the Plattenbödeli mountain inn after about 45 minutes. A short detour to the Sämtisersee is a must. The lake has an underground drain, so you are never sure if it is full or almost empty. The webcam shows you the current state of the lake. Over gentle alpine meadows, the path now goes almost level in the direction of Ruhesitz. During the summer months you can buy Appenzeller goat cheese at the alp Soll, which is produced directly on the alp. The trail continues to the Ruhesitz moutain inn. In addition to to enjoying food and drinks, you can rent a scooter or sled and quickly complete the rest of the way with them.
