As soon as the snow has passed, this hike leads from Hoher Kasten via Kamor, Zapfen to the idyllic Forstseeli Lake. After only 20 minutes of hiking, the first short detour to the summit of Kamor is already worthwhile. Here you can enjoy the view over the Appenzellerlad, the Rhine valley and into the Alpstein. The trail continues over lush alpine meadows with views over Lake Constance and the Rhine valley. Gradually the vegetation changes and the path leads across the moorland with an incomparable wealth of species. Arrived at Forstseeli, the official fireplace invites you to take a rest.
A worthwhile detour is the small detour over the Fähnernspitz which offers another all-round panoramic view before it goes back over wide meadows to Brülisau.
